Lord, why me? Why did you allow me to experience hurt? Why have I been faced with challenge after challenge? Why me? What have I done to deserve this?
Sound familiar? Have you ever experienced a “woe is me” moment with God and asked why? Why did you allow this to happen? Why did you let me make this decision? Why did this person hurt me? Why’d this happen to my family? Why? Why? Why?
I'll go first by raising my hand 🖐🏾 and saying I surely have. I can attest that there have been some challenges and moments in my life that made scream Lord, why me? The real question we should ask ourselves is why not you? I know it may seem crazy, but as believers who believe that we serve a sovereign God who knows all the details of our lives, we should rejoice in the face of conflict, hurt, and challenges. We should smile knowing that we were purposed for the very season and moment we are in. Our faith should remind us that we are fully prepared and equipped for what lies in front of us.
As I prayed this week, I smiled at the question why not me, because we serve a faithful God whose plans far exceed our thoughts. We serve a graceful God who never leaves our side in the midst of chaos. We believe in a God who loves us deeply and only desires the best for us. It never ceases to amaze me how detailed our Father is with our lives. He cares so much about every single detail of our lives. If it matters to you, it matters to him. No matter how big or small it is.
Just in case you happen to be wondering why you my friends, here is a list of why it should be you!

I love how you said he “gifts” our challenges! That’s a whole word! In the words of my Pastors, “we get to do this!”
I like to say God gifts His greatest challenges to His strongest warriors! We are more than conquerors and built for the task!
