Thanksgiving is CANCELED!

It seems clear, after the year we've had that Thanksgiving is CANCELED or it is? Over the past eleven months we've witnessed the unthinkable happen all around the World. We've experienced loss, tragedy, and disease. We have all literally had a front row seat to the World changing before our eyes through a World crisis and pandemic. Families live, work, and attend school all from one residence and as the Holidays approach, COVID numbers continue to rise, again.

For some, anxiety is at an all time high. Many of us wonder, is it safe to celebrate in person? How will we manage virtual celebrations and when will we have an opportunity to love on our family members again? Today, my loves I challenge to do three things this holiday season.

1. Cast your cares upon the Lord - 1 Peter 5:7 TPT says "pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for he always tenderly cares for you." Take moment this holiday to give all of your cares, worries, fears, doubts, hurt, guilt, and shame, over to God. He literally DESIRES IT ALL and can handle it all. Start and end your day with a prayer of release. "Good morning, God! Today, I choose to give all my cares to you, the master of the Universe. I release everything to you, trusting you with my life fully, amen.

2. Give THANKS - 1 Thessalonians 5:18 TPT says "and in the midst of EVERYTHING be ALWAYS giving thanks, for this is God's perfect plan for you in Christ Jesus." Write a gratitude journal entry, weekly. This will allow you to maintain a heart of thanksgiving and gratitude. Include the small and large things, people, and outcomes you're most thankful for.

3. Create new memories - Ecclesiastes 8:15 NLT "so I recommend having fun, because there is NOTHING better for people in this world than to eat, drink, and ENJOY life. That way they will experience some happiness along with all the hard work God gives them under the sun." HAVE FUN! Share family recipes, have virtual game nights, craft, watch movies, make indoor s'mores, create family music playlists, have group lives on Social Media, do WHATEVER it takes to have fun this holiday season!

I know outside can be a scary place right now, but that's okay! For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of POWER and of LOVE and of a SOUND MIND. - 2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV

Rest and find peace in his Word my friends and have a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

XOXOXO,

Rhonda Nikole
