Sick & Shut-In

Hello out there! Can ya'll hear me? Faaaaaaaaaammmmmmm! The longer I stay boxed inside of these four walls I call home, the crazier I feel. I know I'm not alone when I say this is stressful. Like, what on Earth did we do to deserve this, Lord? In case you are living in a bubble and are unaware as to what's happening. We are still on the sick and shut-in list. The COVID-19 virus is all gas and no brakes right now. Life is still a whirlwind and honey, there is absolutely nothing we can do, but pray and sat down somewhere. :)

This week I challenge you all to pray a prayer of thanksgiving. As wild and and crazy as things look, seem, and feel we have so much to be thankful for. Dig deep and find that one thing or multiple areas in your life that you're thankful for and give God thanks. I'm thankful in this season for stability. Many people around the world are without jobs, income, food, and bare necessities. I, on the other hand have been more than blessed to be able to work from home and maintain steady income, as well as, have more than what I need to survive.

I am also thankful for digital community. As cheesy as this may sound, my community of family and friends have thoroughly kept me entertained through the digital world. We have facetimed, group text, and played all types of random games and challenges on social media. What a relief to have that capability at such a time as this. I know it may seem small, but I am wise enough to know that someone out there doesn't have wifi, a laptop, iPAD, or cellular device to do the same.

Those of us who do are truly blessed beyond measure. Don't take what you think to be "normal" for granted, as it really is a blessing and privilege to have . Lastly, I am thankful for stillness. WHEW! In the midst of what I like to call chaos, I can't help but to give thanks for God sitting me down and making me rest. I am always on the go, whether it is local, afar, by car, or flight. I hardly ever just sit and relax. Now, I don't have a choice, but to (thanks God)! I am getting more sleep than I normally would, spending less money hanging out, and watching TV (something I hardly ever do).

What are some things you are thankful for in this season? Comment below and let me know why and what you're thankful for.

Until next time fam! Stay safe and WASH YO' HANDS!

Xoxoxo,

Greetings, I’m thankful for my life, health and ability to have the things that I need. Most, importantly the spirit to be a sounding board and assist others in need.
