Hey! I know, I know, I know.....it has been three whole weeks since I last blogged. In all transparency, life has been dark and full of mixed emotions. So much has transpired in the last three weeks. Life has managed to push me into a place, I feel, has made me unworthy of inspiration and encouragement. I contemplated writing this blog, because I felt I couldn't pour from an empty jar. Then I remembered that's more the reason I should write. My jar isn't as empty as I believe it to be, rather I needed to take just one second to dig deep.
This is me digging deep and reminding you to do the same. As previously stated in other blogs, I'm human. I fall, make mistakes, and experience all of life's trials, tribulations, ups, and downs just like anyone else. But, when we take a just a teeny tiny second to dig deep, we realize that we are right where God wants us to be and in the perfect position to be used. Now, if you're like me and you're thinking "nah sis, I can't be used" then think again. In my second of digging deep I was reminded of all of the people God used in the Bible that had issues.
Jacob was a cheater, Noah was a drunk, David had an affair, Moses stuttered, Paul was a murderer, and Peter had a temper (just to name a few). In all of their flaws, mistakes, and imperfections, God still used each one of them in an impactful way. They all have legacies beyond their negative traits and this my friends gave me a glimpse of hope. Just enough to believe that he will do the same for you and I.
While I'm being honest, it has been hard for me to pray and worship too, but as I pushed myself to write in spite of, I was reminded of this song....
🎶 Stand by Donnie McClurkin 🎶
"....Tell me how do you handle the guilt of your past? Tell me how do you deal with the shame? And how can you smile while your heart has broken and filled with pain? Tell me what do you give when you've given your all and it seems like you can't make it through? Child, you just STAND! When there's nothing left to do, you just stand, watch the Lord see you THROUGH. Yes, after you've done all you can, you just STAND!...."
Deuteronomy 32:10 NIV “In a desert land he found him, in a barren and howling waste. He shielded him and cared for him; he guarded him as the apple of his eye,”
Thank you for your words of encouragement, will do. 🧡
Sis take your “Stand” and don’t sit in it and continue to push your way through it all.
