Grief & Heartache

Well, hello there.

I'm honestly shocked that I'm sharing this blog post today, but then again I'm not really surprised, as I am one of the most resilient women I know. Over the past few weeks, I have journeyed through both grief and heartache. Dealing with the loss of a loved one and closing a chapter with someone you love can be crippling if your foundation isn't solid in Christ.

When I am asked, "how are you?" my current response is "I'm unsure, it depends on the moment because each moment is different." To be honest, it's a safe way to say I'm not good without having to elaborate or give more detail. To say things are really tough for me right now would be an understatement, but my Father in Heaven always comes through with a word that helps to keep my head above the water.

If I'm being truthful, I have spent most of my days experiencing different stages of grief and heartache and haven't really journaled, meditated or prayed like I usually would. Yet, when I did, he came in with a whole word! LOL

Psalms 139: 7 (MSG)

"Is there anyplace I can go to avoid your spirit? To be out of your sight? If I climb to the sky, you're there! If I go underground, you're there! If I flew on morning's wings to the far western horizon, you'd find me in a minute - you're already there waiting! Then I said to myself, "Oh, he even sees me in the dark! At night I'm immersed in the light! It's a fact: darkness isn't darkness to you; night and day, darkness and light, they're all the same to you."

It was in that very moment that our Heavenly Father reminded me that I cannot avoid his spirit or presence and it is not contingent upon what I do or don't do. Even in my darkest moments of having absolutely NOTHING to give, he FINDS ME!

As we journey through the days ahead, I encourage you to find peace in knowing that our Father isn't conditional and he is always present with us - no matter what. Take a moment to just sit and allow him to handle the rest.

Song

Dependable God x Victor Thompson

...it doesn't matter what comes my way you are still God. Intentional, intentional God. Everything is working out for my good. Dependable, dependable God...

XOXO,

Rhonda Nikole

…and this was shared with me this morning by Adrion: “Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. According to the Lordʼs word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will b…
