Good chicken is hard to find!

About 8 months or so ago, I relocated to a new state. Living here has taught me the importance of endurance & commitment. On a hunt to find some good chicken wings, I’ve been to restaurant, after restaurant, after restaurant. I know I’ve tried over 10 different restaurants in an effort to find well seasoned, slightly crispy, mild wings (ALL FLATS 😉).

I literally had no idea it would be this hard, especially being in the South. It had gotten to the point where I was completely fed up. I planned on accepting the fact that there just weren’t any good wings here. Silly me!

To my surprise, this week I decided to try two new restaurants near my job during my lunch. The first place was horrible and I left disappointed once again. SMH! The second place though, hit a spot that hadn’t been touched since I left SC 🤣. When I tell y’all these wings were on point, they were! In actuality, they exceeded my expectations.

So, I know y’all are wondering at this point why I’m rambling about chicken, but there are messages in everything we do. Though it may only sound like a chicken story, really it’s a revelation. The divine truth is about the beauty of endurance, patience, & commitment. A simple hunt for wings, taught me the importance of continuing to go after what I wanted no matter how many times it didn’t work out. I could have given up after the first three restaurants, but I stayed committed to finding what I desired.

This week I want to encourage you not to quit! Endure! Stay Committed! Be Persistent!

Oh, and don’t just sit back and do nothing. Work towards mastering whatever it is you want to become great at. If you don’t get it right the first time, do it for a second, third, or fourth time. Take a break if you need to and practice. Read, research, and try again. Try over and over again without giving up. Bend, but don’t break. Stay committed and be persistent in your efforts. Trust God in the midst of it all and NEVER settle!
