But, did you Pray?

Hey there fam! Ladies how ya'll feel? Fellas ya'll aight? LOL IYKYK (If you know, you know)!

I have missed you all deeply and I pinky promise to do better as we move into March. I can't believe that just like that February is over! As I sat in the presence of our Father to pray about our last blog of the month I was reminded of the importance of PRAYER. Praying is all about conversing with God and inviting him into our day. It’s a conversation, between us and the Father which means we can anticipate and expect a response.

Prayer is also an opportunity for us to commune with our Father about all aspects of our life. The Bible reminds us in John 15:15 that we are God's friend. It states " I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn't confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me." As a friend of his, this means that he confides in us and we can surely confide in him, Plus, our Father wants nothing more than to be included in both the small and big details, And what's beautiful about being able to talk with him about everything is the fact that he can handle all that we have to say.

Nothing is off limits in prayer and we can be sure that there is so much to gain through our life of prayer. Through prayer we gain boldness, faith, wisdom, and most importantly relationship. Through each prayer offered to God we develop a more intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father.

In addition to that, prayer also opens the door for our Lord to speak to us too. BUT, it’s up to us to be still and silent enough to hear from him. How often do you pray? When was the last time you included the small details to God in prayer? How often have you conversed with a family member or friend and hadn't had a convo with God about the same thing? How can you improve your prayer life this week?

I challenge each of you to include our Father in the small talk and the big decisions. I challenge you to pray about all that you're experiencing and feeling too. Before you open your mouth to converse about ANYTHING with anyone this week ask yourself, but did I pray? Talk with our Father throughout the day just as you would with a human friend and don't miss an opportunity to hear from him as well.

During your alone time this week spend some time with this scripture and song.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 NLT

"Never stop praying."

Pray x Koryn Hawthorne

....in the morning, I pray, When I.feel like I ain't gonna make it that's when I pray. And now I know even when it's good you still need to PRAY...

God is always near. Trust Him. Do not worry, be reminded of how He has rescued you over your lifetime! Pray and cast your cares. As you begin to worry, remind yourself that God is greater than your circumstance. I dare you to believe Him. I dare you to trust Him! Amen. Thank you pudding’ xoxo
